I was asked last week by a crossfit athlete: "so you are on the Paleo diet, what do you eat for breakfast since you can't have bread?" I said lots of eggs. I didn't give details then since we were in the middle of class. I want to give them now. Here are a few suggestions.
Egg whites, avocado, and turkey bacon. You can also do spinach and mushrooms. If you have left over broccoli, mushrooms and add bacon. Any left overs you may have had the night before, chicken, steak, burger, spinach, asparagus, broccoli throw in the skillet with 2 scrambled eggs or egg whites if you prefer. Be creative in the kitchen. There are many ways to make your favorite omelet. If you are in a hurry boil eggs and eat on the way to the gym or have a few in the refrigerator to take out when you are pressed for time. Remember buy organic, free range, or even better from your local farm.
Remember nutrition is key to performance and health. When you have a proper diet the level of performance is optimal!
