Something about you that we really didn’t know: I lived on the island of St. Thomas for a year.  

How long have you been a member at Aspen Crossfit? Since March 2011..10 months.

 What class time do you normally attend? 5:30, but really miss going at 7:00 a.m….I do that in the summer when school is out.

How did you find out about us? My husband Cory started back in October 2010. After a few months of convincing on his part, I started. 

Tell us about your first workout and how you felt during/after: I have always been an athlete, and really do enjoy working out. I felt pretty good during the workout, but the aftermath, that's a different story. I was super sore! It took me a good three weeks to get back to normal. 

What benefits/accomplishments have you seen/ had since joining? SO MANY BENEFITS! I am much stronger and much leaner than I have ever been. I also started eating Paleo when I started Crossfit and my blood work has changed dramatically. I dropped over 30 points in my triglycerides and 25 points in my cholesterol!

 I ran my first half marathon in under 2 hours and shaved thirty minutes off my last year's Summit for Life time. Overall, I have more stamina and strength in everything I do.

What are you future goals in the gym? My goals are to get rid of that purple band! I want to be able to do pull-ups without anything. I also want to be able to push press 115lb!

 My challenges: Double Unders….I've got them down, just not 100% just yet. oh, and rowing, not my strength. 

My favorites: I like box jumps and I am going to say it….burpees (I think it's because I am so short, that movement goes quickly for me). I also like feet to bar.

Favorite WOD/workout when you are “thinkin’ outside the box:” I really enjoy any WODS that have a time restraint. I like knowing that I have exactly 10 minutes to sweat it out and get in as many reps as I can! 

A message to anyone that might be considering Crossfit: DO IT! I always tell people that the best part about Crossfit is that it gets you in the best shape, in such a short amount of time. You would NEVER go to the gym and workout this hard for one hour, ever.

What is your favorite type of music to workout to? I love working out to Hip Hop or rap! Oh, and anything new!
