Success in Teams at Aspen CrossFit

Success in Teams at Aspen Crossfit

“Coming together is a beginning.  Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”

Henry Ford

TEAMWORK WORKS!

Do you think about Crossfit as a “team sport?”
Perhaps not, but think again.

How does it differ from you just going into any old gym and doing your routine on your own?
How does it differ from attending a fitness class, where there is a group of people, but you feel no accountability to them?

Crossfit is a unique combination of an individual workout and goals paired with team effort:

  1. The trainers function like great coaches, inspiring, instructing, and promoting excellence in the execution of drills.
  2. The joint start time for WODS unites the group’s energy and elicits a teamwork mentality.
  3. Aiming for the RX standard endorses a group goal.
  4. Publicly posting finishing times and PR’s produces accountability among classmates.

This = teamwork!

Think for a moment about ANY SUCCESS: becoming President of a nation, head of a company, an elite athlete, or running an effective, efficient home, it's all about the TEAM!

People working together to create synergy.
Individuals caring enough about those around them to invest time, encouragement and support.
Success in life is about TEAMWORK!

  • DIFFICULT THINGS BECOME EASIER.
  • THE SYNERGY CREATES MOTIVTION.
  • ACCOUNTABILITY TO A TEAM IGNITES YOUR POWER.

Look around you.  Can you see the various "teams," you belong to?
(Read the next lines carefully and thoughtfully, please!)

Aspen Crossfit is an opportunity for you to become consciously aware of, and to put into practice, the principle of learning to form a "winning team," to help you get to your personal goals – any goals, in any areas of your life.

(Did you get that?  If there is anything physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, spiritually, financially, or vocationally that you want to achieve and haven't yet, then look at what you're learning here about teams and start recruiting teammates for your personal "life team," to help get you to the level you want to perform at in any one or more of those areas!)

Use this concept anywhere in your life where you're ready to move to the next level.
When you decide and commit to personal growth, then START LOOKING AROUND FOR THE RIGHT PEOPLE to add to your personal "life team," those who will be your "pacers!"

(In almost any race, there are professional "pacers."  These are people who are well-trained and efficient in keeping a pace at a certain time.  They run, bike, or paddle alongside of the competitior that they are supporting, and they keep a steady pace to ensure an exact finishing time for that competitor.  They give encouragement along the way and they can be trusted to get that competitor through the physical, mental and emotional obstacles that they'll face in the race.  Who are your "pacers," in life?")

You CHOOSE the people for THAT SPECIFIC "TEAM" in your life, you invite them in (as mentors, accountability partners, or supports), you share your vision with them, then GO FOR IT!

There is synergy in teamwork…something that is impossible to create on your own.

Successful people get this principle.  This is how they get things done!

Tip of the day – When you want to win – at anything in life – surround yourself with the very best people (like those you find at Aspen Crossfit!)
